Introduction

  • The brain all together is divided into three parts, the hindbrain, midbrain, and the forebrain. Each of these parts work together in a complex way, however, each part of the brain has their own special properties. The hindbrain, for example, controls the respiratory system and heart rate. The uppermost section of the brain is the midbrain; this controls reflexes, eye movements and other voluntary movements. Finally the forebrain is the largest and most complex of the three, this contains mostly of the cerebrum. The brain is a mysterious and complex system, each part having a special ability and being able to function all together in a remarkable system.
